Howie Michael Smith

Howie Michael Smith is a Broadway actor, writer, and puppeteer whose credits span

theater, television, and comedy. He performed the dual roles of Princeton and Rod in
Avenue Q on Broadway for more than 1,200 performances and appeared as the puppet
mother Miriam on Season 10 of America's Got Talent, where the act advanced to the
semifinals. As a writer, he contributed to Season 13 of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
Regional theater credits include the world premiere of My Life Is a Musical (Bay Street
Theater); Avenue Q (Ogunquit Playhouse); I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (John W.
Engeman Theater); A Christmas Carol (Ford's Theatre); 1776 and Carousel (Marriott
Theatre); As You Like It (Chicago Shakespeare Theater); The Tempest (Dallas Shakespeare);
Tribute to Sondheim (Pittsburgh Pops). A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.
